I was an actress on the TV Soap "Neighbours"

"I am an actress on the TV Soap Neighbours"...

That's the line my sixteen-year-old self wanted to tell everyone when they asked what my dream job was.

My parents sent me to acting school in Melbourne.  I learned from some of the best in the business.

My friend's dad was even the drama coach on the show.

But do you think I made it as an actress?

Ummm, nope.

Not even close. I wasn't very good at it truth be told (thanks mum and dad though, for forking out all that cash!)

I can laugh about it now, but it was pretty devastating as a teen.  Especially when my brother ended up on TV without even trying...how dare he steal my dream!

So....yeah, I didn't make it as an actress and that's ok.  I had other talents (music), but that's a story for another day...

... but what that experience did do, was leave me with a terrible "confidence scar".

What's a "confidence scar" you ask?

Well...it's when something happens in your life, like when something doesn't go exactly how you plan it and you make an unconscious negative decision about yourself.

And that something is like a scar that doesn't seem to go away, no matter how much bio-oil you put on it!

My "confidence scar" didn't just tell me "you failed as an actress", it told me "you're a failure".  Period.

And that followed me around everywhere.  And I didn't even know it.

Which meant I was so afraid of failing I didn't put myself out there. I played safe. I only did things I knew I could win at.

It meant I stayed in mediocre jobs for too long and didn't stretch myself.

But when I realised I could separate myself from that experience, that I wasn't a failure,  a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

I was able to take action on things that would have seemed unachievable before.

And it's these types of "ah-ha's" that you can get inside the Career Accelerator Program.

I teach you how to remove limiting beliefs (ones you didn't even realise were there) so you can create an amazing career goal and move into a job you love.
